TIPS & PRODUCTS TO GET SKIN THAT GLOWS

To achieve skin that really glows stick with a nude, bronze or slightly peach highlight (anything silvery or white will look weird) you want a color as close as you can to your complexion so that it looks natural.  A powder highlighter works best on your cheeks, while a creme highlighter works best for your lids, or above the bow of your mouth. Mixing a liquid highlighter with your foundation is also a great way to achieve that natural glow.

MORE TIPS FOR MY MATURE READERS!!!

Here are some more tips for my mature readers, but you know even the ladies under 40 can learn what we need to do when we get to this point.

EYES
- Down play wrinkles by highlighting your eyes. Great eye make up will make your eyes pop and draw attraction to your eyes, which will draw attention away from your wrinkles
- The older you get the more droopy your eyes get (this will happen to all of us, its a law of nature). However, we can draw attention away from this by applying eye shadow correctly. Start with your lighter shade below the eyebrow and the medium shade should be applied to the eyelid.  This will make the eye appear larger and less droopy looking.  To make the eyes even larger add the medium color shadow to the outer side of the eyelid, all the way to the end of your eyebrow, this will open your eyes up even more.
- As you get older your eyebrows and lashes get thinner. Using mascara with a slightly bent brush will allow you to apply the mascara in the shad of your eyes. When your applying start at the base and move the wand sideways than outward.  This applies a thicker coat to the eyelid and makes eyelashes look thicker.  Eye brows should be filled in with a pencil or powder one shader lighter than your hair.  Also prior and after use of a pencil or powder brush eyeshadow with brush, this aids in blending and making brow look natural.

HIGHLIGHTER
- Use a highlighting color to counter the appearance of gravity.  Use a little highlighter above and below the eyebrow. This will lift, brighter and open up the eyes.
- Use your same highlighter to the top of your cheek bones to make it more prominent.
- Enhance your lip color. Do not over gloss, if using lipstick its nice to add just a touch of gloss to the center of your lips.

FOUNDATION
-Using a liquid or creme foundation over powder will enhance your look.  Powder gives a matte finish, which create a dull look on the face and makes you appear to look older.  Liquid and creme foundation give your face an instant glow which give your skin a younger look.

GETTING GLAM!!!

SCULPT YOUR CHEEKBONES

Pick a matte bronzer that is one shade darker than your natural skin tone.  Blend it from your  ears and stop underneath the apples of your cheeks.  Then add a pop of rosy color to the apples of your cheeks and a bit of highlighter to the top of your cheekbones.  This contrast will make your cheeks look three dimensional.

BLUSH/BRONZER DAILY TIPS

TIP #4

Don't be afraid to use a liquid bronzer or  a liquid blush. They give you an extra amount of illumination to your face. If the bronzer is not really dark it can be used as a highlighter. In order to make this look appear fresh and natural be sure to use a pressed powder to set the look.
