2010 ACADEMY AWARD SUPPORTING ACTRESS WINNER!! MONIQUE
As you see this weeks post are dedicated to the Oscars. For the next few days I will be reviewing the looks for all the African American women who have won Academy Awards. This list now includes comedian, talk show hosts and actress Monique.
MONIQUE'S HAIR
Monique wore a well sculpted Chignon with a flower for a hair accessory. This was a well fitting hair style for the occasion. This look is great for formal and semi formal events. Its simple, easy and elegant.
How To: You can achieve this look by pulling hair back in a very tight, and neat ponytail. Smooth hair down by using wrapping foam, hair gel and spritz. Sit under dryer for ponytail to set and dry. Once dried, add hair extensions to ponytail securing with bobby and hair pins. Spritz and curl the weave with big barrel curling iron. Take large pieces of hair and wrap round like a bow(you can be creative when doing this) There is no set place where the hair has to be placed. Make sure to use enough hair spray to hold hair in place. To top off the look add a hair accessory to the right or left side.
MONIQUE'S MAKE-UP
Monique's face was flawless, using a natural makeup pallet. She had the glow of a winner. Sporting a nude lip with chestnut liner and fabulously shaped eyebrows completed her look.
How To: Apply foundation of choice. Using a bronzer highlight cheekbones, bottom of the face and forehead in order to give even glow. Apply bronzer below cheekbones, then apply blush right above then a small amount of powder highlighter under eyes to top of ear. Blend with blush brush. Outline lips in a chestnut color pencil then apply a coat of a neutral lip color with subtle shimmer and little shine then blend!! This look can go for a formal event as well as a everyday look.
