STEP 1: Shampoo hair with specified shampoo and conditioner. For African American hair its best to use a mask treatment once a month at the least.
STEP 2: While you have conditioner on wrap hair in saran wrap and sit under hooded dryer for 10 minutes. You don't have to always sit under dryer. (this step can be skipped, instead of going under dryer you can sit with conditioner for 5 minutes.
STEP 3: After washing out conditioner, towel dry hair and comb thru with large tooth comb.
STEP 4: Apply a leave in conditioner and a small amount of serum and run thru the hair
STEP 5: Sit under dryer to dry out scalp and dampness from the hair
STEP 6: Use a small amount of blow dry lotion mixed with lite serum to blow dry hair. Use a paddle or blow dry brush so that you can get the roots straight. Also, blow dry in the opposite direction of how your hair grows, this will give added volume.
STEP 7: Part hair into 4 sections. With a ceramic flat iron make small parts and flat iron. Trick when flat ironing use a fine tooth comb and place after the flat iron, this detangles the hair. Go over hair 2 or 3 times with flat iron.
STEP 8: For a silky, satin finish add a small amount of serum and style it like you desire

Great tips Keka! Questioin- so everyone's hair doesn't grow in the same direction (from the root)? I probably misunderstood...help a sista out. lol!
Hi Monique, No everyones hair doesnt grow in the same direction. All the hairs on one person's head dont even grow in the same direction, that what we call cowlicks, and whirls when the hair in particular areas grows in the opposite direction from the rest of the hair on your head.
